With Medicare Advantage plans, rather than pay your medical bills directly, the federal government contracts with Humana to administer your Medicare coverage. They pay us a flat fee. Then we go to work keeping healthcare more affordable so we can pass those savings on to our members in the form of lower costs and added benefits. Humana offers $0 plans in most areas, and in many areas, you will find both $0 HMO and PPO plan options.


So what's the catch? Of course, no Medicare plan is completely free. You may still be responsible for paying deductibles and copays for covered services as well as your Part B Medicare premium, which is typically deducted from your social security check each month.

It tells you when a less expensive alternative to the medication you're taking is available, so you and your doctor can decide if switching makes sense for you.

2. Medication Therapy Management (MTM) - If you're taking a number of medications prescribed by more than one doctor, you may be eligible. Through this program, you can meet one-on-one with a doctor or pharmacist to learn more about your medicines and how they work, ask questions about side effects or interactions with other medications and look for opportunities to lower your costs.
